Persons with disabilities under the Vienna Equal Opportunities Act are individuals who are permanently and significantly disadvantaged in their development or in important areas of life, particularly vocational training, work, or social participation, due to not age-related physical, intellectual or mental impairments, or sensory impairments.
The provision of daily structure is defined as services for persons with disabilities who currently or permanently cannot be integrated into the labour market.
Assisted living is defined as living in a facility with board and care.
Operators of such a facility must notify the authority of the following changes:
- Expansion or considerable reduction of the services, closure of the facility
- Changes to the services offered
- Transfer of the facility to another operator
- Change of name of the operator(s) or the facility
- Moving the facility to another location
- Changes in management
